Volunteers– All Montgomery County Public School volunteers must complete a child abuse and
neglect training.  The training takes approximately half an hour to complete.  Take the
training below.

After School Programs – See the many after school activities offered at GHES by clicking on the link.

Spirit Wear – Glen Haven Eagle wear will be sold on 9/13 and 9/14 at Back to School Night.  Stop by the PTA table to get your t-shirts, water bottles, and magnets before we’re out!

School Hours – Last reminder! School opens at 8:40am and dismissal is at 3:25pm.

  • 9/13 – Back to School Night: Grades PreK-2 – (6:30 – 8:00pm) Hear from your child’s teacher and stop by the PTA table to learn more and join!
  • 9/14 – Back to School Night: Grades 3-5 – (6:30 – 8:00pm) Hear from your child’s teacher and stop by the PTA table to learn more and join!
  • 9/15 – 2nd Cup of Coffee/Merienda-Principal’s Book of the Month(PBOM) – (8:40 – 9:40am), Every second or third Friday, Dr. Ennis invites parents to school to meet and then head into the classrooms to read to their child’s class (or another class that could use a reader).

Friendship Picnic – On September 17, 1:00 – 5:00pm at Wheaton Regional Park, Montgomery County Parks will be celebrating our community of diverse culture and faiths.  This event is free with food, family activities, and performances.

U.S. Citizenship Interview Help (9/11 10:00 – 11:00am)

Pajama Storytime – (9/11 7:00 – 7:30pm)

Ethiopia Day and Coffee Ceremony – (9/16 11:30am – 2:30pm)

Children’s Day: Honey Harvest – September 16, 11:00am – 4:00pm at Brookside Gardens & Brookside Nature Center. Join in celebrating honey bees and other pollinators at this free event with beekeeper talks and family-friendly activities and crafts.

Wheaton Arts Parade –This is a free event on September 24 (Parade starting at 10:00am and festival follows until 6:00pm) Watch the parade, meet artists, and enjoy the entertainment and food!

New Bell Schedule
Glen Haven Elementary School hours for students is 9:00am – 3:25pm. Doors open for breakfast at 8:40am.
