Dear Glen Haven Families,
The PTA is very excited that the new school year is here. We especially want to welcome new families and Dr. Jane Ennis our new principal.
What is the PTA? We are parents, school staff, and community members who volunteer our time and raise funds to provide enrichment for the students, support to staff, and outreach to our community.
Last year the PTA provided thousands of dollars to support educational and after school programs.
This year the PTA needs YOUR help and we once again ask for your support and to join the PTA. For the PTA to be effective and truly representative of our school, everyone’s participation is essential.
Many parents feel that they cannot participate in the PTA because they cannot come to meetings or be in the building during the day. You do not have to be a PTA member to volunteer. Whether you have 30 minutes or a couple of hours, your ideas, your time, and your talents are truly needed. Everyone can feel part of the Glen Haven Community. By volunteering, you will help kids, become friends with other parents, support school staff, and truly make a difference. We have many ways in which Moms, Dads, Aunts, Uncles, and Grandparents can contribute to the Glen Haven community.
Research shows that students whose parents and grandparents are involved in their education have better grades and fewer discipline problems. We promise that the time you give to the PTA and the school will be worthwhile—and fun!
